The Pursuit of Ofqual Recognition
Disappointed with the decline in BTEC’s oversight, Mel and his team began the process of applying directly to Ofqual for ISRM to become a recognised accrediting body. Although ISRM demonstrated that it could meet all procedural requirements, as a very small, specialist organisation it could not match the level of administrative infrastructure Ofqual requires for official recognition. The application was therefore paused.
